"Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” — Desmond Tutu
That’s a nice quote, isn’t it? It also happens to sum up the idea of this advent calendar beautifully, because inside each window of this calendar you will find various “kindness missions” for you to complete.
Some missions are relatively quick and simple, like “Talk to an elderly person that looks lonely” or “Let someone know that you love them”, while others are a bit more advanced, for example “Donate blood” or “Sign up to do volunteer work for an organization of your choice”.
When you have completed a mission, you simply grab a pen and check off the box next to it. And don’t worry, you don’t have to complete the missions the same day you opened the window, and you don’t have to complete them all. If you do manage to complete all missions, that’s of course fantastic, but even if you only complete a couple of them you’ve still helped make the world a kinder place.
The calendar can either be used alone or together with a partner, a friend, your family, or even all your colleagues at work. It’s completely up to you how you want to use the calendar – the important thing is that you’re out there trying your best to spread kindness.
